PorterReserve on the Embraer E195-E2
Kicking things off, I'll be experiencing PorterReserve, the premium offering from Canada's Porter Airlines. This airline has undergone massive growth, and I'm eager to try their extra legroom seating and enhanced service. It's been a while since I flew with Porter, and I can't wait to see how they've evolved!
Air France's Boeing 787-9 Business Class
Next up, I'll be flying Air France's Dreamliner business class from Montreal to Paris. While I've flown Air France business class before, it's been a while since I've experienced their 787 product. I'm curious to see how it compares to their other aircraft and to check out their new business class bedding. Plus, with my Flying Blue Platinum status, I need to fly this route to maintain my status, and it's a great opportunity to support sustainable aviation fuel initiatives.
Aircalin's Airbus A330-900neo Business Class
Now, here's where it gets really exciting! From Paris, I'll be flying Aircalin's A330-900neo business class to Bangkok. Aircalin, the airline of New Caledonia, has recently expanded its route network, and I'm thrilled to be a part of this journey. I've been wanting to fly with them for ages, and finally, I get to experience their product firsthand!
Thai Airways' Boeing 787-9 Business Class
For the return leg, I'll be flying Thai Airways' 787-9 business class from Bangkok to Milan. This specific route offers what I believe is Thai's best business class product, and it's been a while since I've indulged in their long-haul experience. I managed to book this segment as part of a fantastic itinerary, using just 87,500 Air Canada Aeroplan points, which is an incredible value!
SWISS' Airbus A350-900 Business Class
The grand finale of this trip is SWISS' brand new Airbus A350-900 business class from Zurich to Boston. This aircraft has recently entered commercial service, and I'm honored to be among the first to experience it on a long-haul flight. With the new SWISS Senses concept, inspired by Lufthansa's Allegris, I'm expecting a truly luxurious journey.
This segment was the catalyst for the entire trip. When I saw award availability, I knew I had to review it, and the rest of the itinerary fell into place.
Hotel Stays
I've also planned some luxurious hotel stays during this trip, thanks to my Amex Platinum $300 hotel credits. In Montreal, I'll be spending a night at the renowned Four Seasons, known as the city's best hotel. In Paris, I'm considering a few options, including the Park Hyatt, Hotel du Louvre, or one of Marriott's Luxury Collection properties. And in Bangkok, I'm leaning towards the Ritz-Carlton, but I'm open to suggestions for points properties.
